VERSACE F/W 13

Donatella Versace created 'VUNK' this season - Versace Punk. A very big trend at Paris and Milan Fashion Week. The collection featured heavy use of leather, latex and strong accessories. The show began with models Daria Strokous and Kasia Struss opening the show, wearing black and white leather leotards with over-sized coats. The girls were finished with edgy boots and spiked earrings.

The girls looked very strong and sexy, opening the show to 'Pleasure Moon'.
Versace continued with the same silhouette and colour palette before finally moving onto what the brand is best known for - bright colours. The show then moved onto bright yellow, for instance the latex top with a mini-skirt. Worn with high-heeled boots and a bright yellow coat.

Donatella then used coloured fur on minimal outfits to add colour and modernity. Cara Delevinge wore a white biker jacket, with a latex skirt and bedazzled boots. The coat had a yellow fur collar to brighten up the outfit.

Bright red was among my favourite colour choices from Donatella, the first sign came when the model who stepped out in a head-to-toe red ensemble. She wore a biker jacket with skin-tight leather pants and red strappy heels. The outfit had many zips, creating a sexy enigma. Ming Zi wore a gorgeous red dress, with latex detailing, she was finished with spiked accessories and a matching choker - very punk.

One shoulder dresses were also very prominent on the Milan runway, these were the last few looks. With minimal latex on silk gowns, these had bondage accents - similar to Prabal Gurung. The dresses also had various slits to add sex appeal. Before Daria Strokous and Kasia Struss closed the show in contrasting black and white dresses. These were latex, with many slits and latex gloves. They were accessorised with spiked chokers.

I love the bright pop of yellow to add youth and fun to a very edgy, and moody outfit.
Joan Smalls stuns in this one shoulder dress, I like the sexiness of the whole outfit.
I'm not a huge fan of this look, I don't like the ill-fitting boots and the skirt.
The yellow fur does look very luxurious, but it does not contrast well with the latex.
Printed 'VUNK' on the tee, I like the trousers and heels.
I love this look! Very bold!
I adore this look, the detailing adds modernity to a somewhat simple dress.
I like the slits seen in the dress, with minimal latex. The contrast of materials work very well.
Perhaps my favourite look from the show, the colour is sophisticated with a punk styling. I like the lightness of the lower-half, in contrast with the strong top.
The dresses are reminiscent to Alexander Wang, I like the modernity of it all.

What did you think of the Versace collection?
